Charlie Lia, DDS

Dr. Lia is a lifelong resident of Morristown, NJ and a proud graduate of Morristown High School. Growing up in the community, he was actively involved through volunteering and as a member of the swim team.

Dr. Lia earned his Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the University of Michigan in 2021. While at Michigan, he served as Community Service Chair for the Pre-Dental Association, helping raise funds for dental hygiene items for underserved communities and supporting nonprofit organizations. He also volunteered at the VA Hospital in Ann Arbor. Dr. Lia also participated in research focused on diabetes, further developing his interest in the connection between oral and systemic health.

He went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from NYU College of Dentistry, where he gained experience in a wide range of procedures while caring for the diverse New York City community.

His passion for dentistry began close to home. After shadowing his childhood dentist, Dr. Lia became confident that dentistry was the right career for him. Dr. Lia is thrilled to return to Morristown and give back to the community that raised him. Even more meaningful, he will be practicing at the same office where he was once a patient and where he first explored his interest in dentistry. What began as a childhood connection has come full circle, and he is honored to now care for patients in the community that helped inspire his career. In his free time, Dr. Lia enjoys staying active, making music, spending time with family and friends, and relaxing at the beach.
